1. Who is responsible?

hivedeals, a sole proprietorship established at Rozenheim 36, 7701 NG Dedemsvaart, the Netherlands, is the controller for personal data processed through the service. Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) number: 89345568. For privacy questions, email hivedeals@gzfx.nl.

2. What data may we process?

Depending on the functions you use, hivedeals may process:

• Account data: a user ID, username, email address and profile information required to manage your account;
• Connection data: a Discord account ID and OAuth data, plus a Telegram user ID and bot token if you voluntarily configure Telegram forwarding;
• Settings: shop thresholds, filters, whitelists, exclusion rules, selected shops, price limits and notification preferences;
• Subscription data: selected membership, status, invoice and payment status. Full payment-card details should not be stored by hivedeals;
• Communications: emails, support requests and complaints;
• Technical security data: IP address, time, session ID, browser information and limited logs needed to keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not knowingly request special-category personal data. Please do not include such data in filters or support messages.

3. Why do we process data?

• Performance of the agreement: to provide your account, monitors, alerts, subscription and support;
• Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent misuse, investigate outages and keep limited technical logs. We balance these interests against your privacy;
• Legal obligation: for matters such as tax records and valid legal requests;
• Consent: when you voluntarily connect an external service or a future function requires consent. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

We do not use your data for advertising profiles and do not sell it.

4. Discord and Telegram connections

Membership alerts are provided through Discord, and Discord OAuth may be used to authenticate your account and verify access. Discord shows what information will be shared before you consent. hivedeals processes only the scopes required for those functions, such as your Discord user ID and basic profile.

Telegram forwarding is optional. If you enable it in the webapp, you provide the Telegram user ID and bot token needed to send alerts that pass your filters. These details must be used only to provide and maintain the connection you request.

Discord and Telegram process information under their own privacy terms. You can disconnect the integrations through the available account, webapp or third-party settings. After disconnection, we delete or anonymise connection data that is no longer needed, unless a legal retention duty applies.

5. Who receives your data?

hivedeals does not share or sell personal data for advertising or trade. Data may only be processed:

• by an external service you knowingly select and connect, such as Discord OAuth, for the function you request;
• by strictly necessary technical service providers acting for hivedeals, such as hosting, email or payment providers, when such providers are used. They may process data only under agreed instructions and for the agreed purpose;
• where legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

If data is processed outside the European Economic Area, we use a valid transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards where required by law.

6. How long do we retain data?

We do not keep data longer than necessary for its purpose:

• account and monitor data: while your account is active and for a short recovery period after deletion;
• support communications: while needed to handle the request and generally for no more than 2 years afterwards;
• security logs: for as little time as possible and generally no more than 90 days, unless an incident requires a longer investigation;
• invoices and tax records: for the statutory retention period, generally 7 years.

Final retention periods must remain aligned with the actual systems and legal obligations used in operation.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, restricted access, secure sessions, updates and security-event logging. No system is entirely risk-free. If you suspect misuse or a breach, email hivedeals@gzfx.nl immediately.

8. Your privacy rights

Where applicable, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You can also withdraw consent. Send your request to hivedeals@gzfx.nl. We may request additional information to verify your identity and will generally respond within one month.

If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). We appreciate the opportunity to resolve the issue first.

9. Cookies and local storage

Functional only

The public website uses no advertising, social-media or tracking cookies and no external analytics. Necessary functions of the service may use functional cookies or local storage to:

• remember a secure login session;
• prevent misuse and record security choices;
• store interface or notification preferences you select;
• complete an OAuth process securely.

These technologies are required for the function you request and are not used to follow you across other websites. We therefore do not request cookie consent for this strictly necessary use. Your browser can remove or block cookies; parts of the signed-in service may then stop working.

If this changes

If we later add non-essential analytics or tracking, we will inform you in advance and request consent where required before the technology activates. Refusing will be as easy as accepting.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this statement if the service, technology or law changes. The latest version appears on this page. We will inform existing users appropriately about important changes.
